Oral Health and COVID-19

Don't let COVID-19 lead you to neglect the oral health of your family. Early in the pandemic, residential facilities for the elderly became acutely aware of the viral threat to their communities while Head Start centers stopped implementing their brushing program entirely. But oral health is ALWAYS important.

The Oral Health Section of the N.C. Division of Public Health has released guidance for those who support the daily dental hygiene practices for the most vulnerable populations. These guidance documents can help parents of very young children and caregivers at residential facilities such as nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Please review and feel free to share.
