Mission
The mission of Mecklenburg County Re-Entry Services is to facilitate seamless transition of participants while promoting employment stability, service engagement and continuing education.
Goals
- Provide wrap-around assistance and stability for clients include the following areas:
- Employment
- Educational/Vocational Training
- Housing Referrals
- Treatment Referrals
- Physical Health Supports
- Pro-social Supports
- To reduce recidivism and criminal thinking among those in transition
- Reduce County costs for those on post release supervision following incarceration in state and federal prisons as well as the Mecklenburg County Jail
Program Eligibility
Participation in the Re-Entry Services program is voluntary. Any individual returning to Mecklenburg County from incarceration OR anyone currently in the community within one year of release from a state correctional facility. Services can begin prior to release or after return to the community by completing a referral form.
