2. Know the symptoms. Get screened only if you have coronavirus symptoms – fever, cough, shortness of breath, or loss of smell and/or taste.
3. Just walk up. You don’t need an appointment or any kind of identification (ID).
Get tested, if you need it. Based on your symptoms, you might get tested in our mobile unit.

Grier Heights Annual Labor Day Reunion & Parade

The historic Grier Heights Neighborhood will be hosting its 54th Annual Labor Day Reunion & Parade on Monday, September 2nd from 10am-5pm. The parade will take place from 10am – 12pm, and will begin on the corner of Orange Street and Fannie Circle and end at the Grier Heights Community Center (3100 Leroy Street, Charlotte, NC 28205) where there will be entertainment and vendors. All are welcome for this wonderful opportunity to fellowship with members of the Grier Heights Community for the Labor Day holiday!

Leake will hold a town hall meeting at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center (700 E. 4th Street, Charlotte, NC 28202) to give senior citizens the chance to hear from various County departments, visit resource tables and learn about services specifically catered to them. The meeting will have exciting speakers, entertainment by the Silver Fox Cheerleaders and a special surprise guest. Lunch will be provided.
