We work to reduce HIV, syphilis and other sexually transmitted infection by promoting health and enabling individuals and communities to increase control over conditions affecting their health.

Prevention Services

• Free HIV/STD Testing - You have options for free, confidential testing in Mecklenburg county.
  
• Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) - A daily pill that can greatly reduce your risk of getting HIV. Find out how to talk to your doctor or, if you're uninsured, get it for free.
• HIV/STD Education​​ - Learn about risk factors and how to prevent transmission of HIV and other STDs.
  

Care Services

• Sexually Transmitted Disease Treatment - Speak to a clinician if you are experiencing any symptoms or have a recent partner(s) who has tested positive for an STD. Appointment required, call: 704-336-6500.

• Case Management - ​We can link you to healthcare and psychosocial services to ensure timely and appropriate level of care.

• Ryan White Program - Ryan White Care Act funded services are available to HIV-positive residents that meet certain eligibility requirements. Some eligibility requirements include financial limitations or medical criteria.
