Child Development ‐ Community Policing (CD-CP)
Following the model created at the Yale Child Study Center, CD-CP addresses trauma at its inception. Law enforcement-clinical teams intervene with children exposed to violence and trauma to prevent the many difficulties that can result from such experiences.
Crisis Intervention Teams (CIT)
A pre-booking jail diversion program, CIT is a community-based collaboration between law enforcement, mental health agencies, consumers and family members, National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI)-Charlotte, and Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC).
Holistic Opportunities Program for Everyone (H.O.P.E.) Initiative
An innovative program created in partnership with, UNC Charlotte, to address the mental, physical, social, and other needs of Public Health clients by linking clients to county and community resources.
